ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP
How it works
LMC partners with the Charleston School of Law to offer law students meaningful, hands-on engagement with mediation and conflict resolution through three pathways: the mediation clinic, pro bono opportunities, and externships. Students earn academic credit through the mediation clinic, which is administered and overseen by LMC Board members, while LMC provides meaningful learning opportunities, real-world projects, and community context across all three pathways, helping students develop practical skills while serving the community.
Engagements are typically one semester in length, though some students carry their involvement into a second semester. All pathways are led by LMC Board members.
